As the device is still not available to order in Germany, I imported it from the USA and I have to say it is overwhelming.
Finally being able to connect your smartphone and notebook to the TV wirelessly is a very good thing.
The firmware had to be updated to 2.13 because neither the laptop nor my Nexus 4 could connect to the PTV 3000 with the 1.0 version. At first I was shocked and thought the device was faulty.
Two tips, if it doesn't work update first and if the picture flickers then try another USB power source.

I bought the PTV 3000 via EBAY and paid via PayPal. It was a used device for 25 euros.
It was sent by US Mail (comparable to our post office). The slowest shipping method was chosen and so I had to wait 4 weeks.
Shipping costs were 25 Euro and customs the normal sales import tax (http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Einfuhrumsatzsteuer_(Deutschland)) from 19% <<< on purchase price + shipping costs. The exemption limit of 22 euros can hardly be reached, as shipping + purchase price is always calculated. Proof of purchase must be presented to customs if the sender was not clever enough to stick the invoice on the outside of the parcel.
